After a delicious breakfast buffet at the trendy At Six Hotel, our guide, Andrew, will take us on a stroll around the city to explore the sites. In the afternoon you’ll have free time to enjoy Stockholm and get in some yarn shopping.

Day 3: Sunday, May 3, Stockholm AT SIX (B,D)
We will meet for a workshop with Maria Gustaffson from Maria’s Garn.
We meet for dinner at Riccordi Restaurant
Day 4: Monday , May 4, In Stockholm (B)
Workshop with best known Twined Knitting expert Karin Khunlund, teacher at the Saterglantan Institute for Swedish Crafts and author of several traditional knitting books including Twined Knitting (Tvaandsstickning)
Day 5: Tuesday, May 5, Dalecarlia Hotel & Spa (B,L, D)
This morning we leave Stockholm for a three day stay in Delacarlia , the heart of Sweden’s rural folk area. On the way we will make a stop at the home of one of Sweden’s most famous artists, Carl Larsson. His home, much of which is adorned with his paintings, had a huge influence on Swedish interior design and family life, through IKEA, has impacted families all over the world.
We then will visit Nusäs where they make the Dala horses, which have become a symbol of Sweden. There will be time to shop

We then continue to the Dalecarlia Hotel & Spa, where we check in to our Deluxe rooms with a lake view. You’ll have time to book a treatment or enjoy the Spa.

Day 6: Wednesday, May 6, Dalecarlia Hotel & Spa (B,L,D)
Full day Workshop with Kristi Mann at Art &Crafts Sweden. We’ll have lunch and a Swedish Fika break at the workshop.

Day 7: Thursday, May 7, Drive to Silja Line cruise to Helsinki (B,L,D)
Sightseeing and Insjöns Väveri . Late afternoon visit to the Gudrun Sjöden’s outlet store

We leave Dalecarlia for an overnight cruise to Helsinki. Departing Stockholm, our cruise ship will weave through thousands of small islands.

Day 8: Friday, May 8: Helsinki, Solo Sokos Helsinki hotel (B,D)
After breakfast on our ship, we’ll disembark mid-morning in Helsinki and do a city orientation tour for about two hours by bus visiting the Oodi Library and the Sibelius Monument

Day 9: Saturday, May 9 Helsinki, Solo Sokos Helsinki hotel (B,D)
After breakfast, we have a workshop with Veera Välimäki, Finnish knitting designer (Rain Knitwear Designs) and author of Laine Publishers books, My Dream Knits and Stripes.
We will all have our farewell dinner at Savotta,

We will enjoy our last breakfast and at 12:15 transfer to airport
